1985-1992 : Moscow State University, Mech-Math. Department, Differential Geometry Chair. Student. Master thesis - 25 June 1992. Diploma CV 502285.

1992-1995 : Moscow State University, Mech-Math. Department, Differential Geometry Chair. Post-graduate. 1 December 1995: PhD thesis "Symplectic geometry of Integrable Hamiltonian Systems". Diploma KT 016901.

1995 - 1998 : Moscow State Technical University, Department of Applied Mathematics. Assistant Professor.

1998 - 1999 : Moscow State Technical University, Department of System Analysis. Associate Professor.

1999 - 2003 :  University of Tromsø, Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Associate Professor.

2003 - now :  University of Tromsø, Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Professor.


Research Interests

  1. Differential Geometry. Local and global analysis of geometric structures on manifolds. Symmetries, equivalences and normal forms. Curvature, involutivity and integrability. Lie theory: pseudogroup actions and differential invariants.
  2. Differential Equations. Geometric approach to integrability and symmetry analysis. Formal theory of PDEs and symbolic systems. Compatibility and solvability of overdetermined systems. Geometry of jet-spaces and differential algebra.
  3. Dynamical Systems. Hamiltonian dynamics. Topological aspects of integrable systems. Entropy of smooth and singular systems. Chaos vs Integrability. Piece-wise affine maps. Evolutionary systems in mathematical physics. Control systems.
