Edmond Hansen "Climate dynamics and research done at the Norwegian Polar Institute in Tromsų".

The talk is aiming to provide information about the Norwegian Polar Institute (NP) and its activities, as a foundation for identifying possible platforms for collaboration. Special emphasis is put on the geophysical section, where the largest potential for collaboration is assumed to exist. Since NP's research in this section is directed towards climate change and variability, most of the talk will be used to present a basic understanding of the climate "problems" we are dealing with. Finally, the areas of research and typical working methods of the NP researchers are outlined. We guarantee a talk totally free of organization boxes and structure maps, the focus will be on scientific problems and working methods. Questions and discussions afterwards.
