"Information geometry and approximations in factor graphs"

Approximation theory in factor graphs is quite a new area, which earlier has been applicable in the physics of lattices only. Nowadays there is an active research in diverse areas of applications due to large reduction in algorithmic costs and introduction of new variables of thermodynamic type. I will discuss relations to information geometry and indicate some examples, by means of which, I believe, this theory can be used in biological models approximated by branched Markov processes.
