“Dispersionless integrable systems in 3D and Einstein-Weyl geometry”.

In this talk I will explain the deep relation between integrability of PDEs in 3D and Einstein-Weyl structures. The latter are conformal reductions of self-dual structures in 4D and are known to bear an integrable geometry. Relations of this to integrability of PDEs were extensively investigated on the basis of the twistor theory. However they have not been precise until very recent. The talk is based on joint work with Eugene Ferapontov.
